Armed robbers attacked basket mouth's house in lekki

Nigerian comedian whose name is Bright Okpocha but commonly known as basket mouth was robbed today 7th September 2016 in his house in lekki, Lagos.

Since the robbery incidence he has not been reached or rather heard from.

According to his colleague Bovi:
‘Basketmouth was robbed this morning in his home in Lekki Phase 1 between the hours of 2am and 4am, 7th of September 2016. He and his family were held at gunpoint while the sad episode lasted. Nobody was hurt. Valuables were taken including the cctv device. A report has been made at the police station. He can’t be reached at the moment but will be back on as soon as possible.’

Mud in flooded area killed newly-wed in Lagos

Mud killed newly-wed in Lagos just yesterday at about 10:45am when she and her husband were in their house (wooden structure) built on a canal.

The couple got married just 10 days back before they relocated to Lagos from Borno State.

The incidence took place in Kuata area by Amara Olu street, Mechanic village, Agidingbi in Ikeja.

They were three people who got stuck in the mud but officials were able to rescue two people (a male and a female) while the said lady lost her life and the body was recovered.

Teacher released after raping and ripping out the intestine of 6 months old baby

A 40-year-old deaf teacher who was arrested for molesting a 6-month-old baby to the extent of ripping out the child's intestine was granted bail even after he admitted to have committed the crime.

The teacher identified as Shaaibu Yakubu Abdullahi was arrested by the boys of NSCDC.
It waa revealed by the NSCDC commandant that the deaf teacher allegedly colluded with his 10-year-old student's, who carried the baby to him from her neighbour’s house and then he committed the act, and also stating that Abdullahi who denied the allegation, was identified by the 10-year-old student in a group picture of staffs and students taken in the school.

It was stated that the non-governmental organization, National Council of Women Society (NCWS), were the ones who reported the situation to the police, and also that the case has been reported to the state’s Ministry of Justice for prosecution.

The 6-month-old baby has however been taken to the University of Maiduguri Teaching Hospital for treatment.

Young woman crushed to death in horse show

Young lady named Becca Weissberd, a 22-year-old gold medalist was crushed to death during a horse show.

The lady who is a New York equestrian was thrown from her horse and the animal fell on her thereby crushing and leading to her death in Saugerties on Wednesday.

Her mother who was in the crowd watching her performance was the first who ran to her aid.
The paramedics also responded as well but nothing could be done to revive her.

The Long Island equestrian community were heartbroken about the riding accident yesterday and sent condolences to her parents, her family, and her friends.

Gospel singer with kidney failure

A Nigerian gospel singer Paul Praise popularly known for his song God is good (double double) was diagnosed with kidney failure and not just one but both of the kidneys.

According to the artiste, he said he was being diagnosed of one kidney failure in January this year but since then he has been battling with one kidney and everything was ok until July when the other kidney was affected.
His kidneys has been packed up and he undergoes   dialysis twice a week at NAF base hospital in Ikeja.

According to NAIJ.com who had a chat with him on Sunday 4th September, he needs N9 million to undergo kidney transplant. An account has been opened with the name Egberamen Paul Praise, account no: 2009737820 at Zenith bank.
Praise who was preparing to go to church concluded that: “I am believing God for a miracle as I need to go for a transplant soon.”

Stephanie Coker a media personality recently got engaged to Olumide Aderinokun and there was great excitement by her celeb friends on social network.

But Olumide's baby mama was in great shock.
She is a graduate of UNILAG and got pregnant for him without his consent. He gave birth to a baby boy in march this year and the baby is currently in France with hids grandma.

Olumide reportedly refused to take responsibility for the child as she engineered the whole thing from the start.

Gunmen abduct 3 children

In Benue state, three children who were siblings, a boy and two of his sisters were kidnapped by gun men few days after the Department of State Service (DSS) and the Benue State Security Council rescued six children who were kidnapped in Makurdi.

The children were been captured on their way to the farm and were put in a vehicle which headedt owards Adokpa-Ankpa road.

A suspect identified as a student of Federal University of Agriculture, Makurdi amongst 18 others was arrested on his way to collect the ransom to be paid by the victims family at the south core junction within the school premises.
